AFTER HOURS SERVICE AT WITHY GROVE VETERINARY CLINIC
After we have closed, our out of hours service is run by an out of hours centre located in Preston (on the A6 near to Wickes) run by Vets Now. This clinic has a dedicated veterinary surgeon and nurse onsite for the whole of the out of hours period. These staff are specifically trained in emergency care and only work outside of normal hours. This means better care for any sick pets and also that our vets will be better prepared to look after your pet in the daytime as they will not have just come off a night on call.
Our vets are available up until our closing time (8pm weekdays, 2pm Saturday, 4pm Sunday) after which time Vets Now will take over.
If you need a vet after hours, just phone our normal clinic number and a message will tell you how to get in touch with the duty vet for advice, or, if necessary, an appointment.
Vets Now will notify us the next morning of any treatment given so we can take over care, our ambulance can pick up your pet from the Vets Now clinic if he or she has had to be hospitalised.
HOME VISITS OUT OF HOURS
In order to keep a vet on-site, Vets Now do not usually perform home visits out of hours. Be prepared to take your pet to them. Our clinic is, of course, happy to do home visits when we are open. Please discuss with us if you think your pet may need a home visit.
