We are a training centre for Veterinary Nurses which means that we can train nurses either via the Apprentice and College or Degree routes to gain valuable and recognised qualification. All our vets and nurses are encouraged to take continuing training and development.
In 2007, we were proud to achieve Investor In People status which we have kept ever since. The IIP award illustrates our commitment to developing our staff and thus improving our levels of service and patient care.
We are also registered as a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Accredited Small Animal Practice. This scheme is designed to improve and benchmark standards of veterinary care. As an Accredited Practice, we have to pass regular inspections focusing on a range of areas, including hygiene, health and safety, animal care and the facilities we provide.
The Practice Standards Scheme is a voluntary initiative – not all practices are part of it. RCVS Accreditation means that as a client you can rest assured that our practice offers the highest quality of care.
To find out more about the scheme visit the RCVS website www.rcvs.org.uk/practicestandards
If we ever fall below the standards you would expect, please let
us know and we will do our best to correct the situation.
We are registered as a Cat Friendly Clinic by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) which means we have fulfilled criteria laid down to keep a cat’s experience in our clinic as stress free as possible.
Withy Grove achieved the Silver Standard for a Rabbit Friendly Practice in 2016. This scheme is run by the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund (RWAF) and similar to the ISFM scheme above it measures our rabbit care and facilities. Read more about the RWAF here.
