Pet Insurance, Fees & Payments
Obviously the fee for any procedure can be variable depending upon the circumstances, but we will always give an estimate if you request one.
Payment is required on the day of treatment. All major credit and debit cards are accepted (Switch, Visa etc). Insurance claims can be processed, but we cannot do direct insurance claims – you will need to pay for treatment on the day and then we can claim the money back from the insurance company for you. We will make the claim promptly to keep any cash flow problems to a minimum. Payment by installments can also be arranged.
The practice strongly recommends pet insurance and we can arrange 6 weeks FREE Petplan insurance for all puppies and kittens, as well as introductory offers for older animals. Obviously pet insurance doesn’t cover routine treatment such as vaccinations or neutering, but it does cover (once the amount of claim has gone beyond the excess) the cost of accidents and illnesses. The costs of diagnostic investigations and treatment can rapidly come to several hundred or even thousands of pounds if referral to a specialist is needed.
We also run our own discount scheme called PETSAVE which, after payment of an annual premium, allows discount on all the services offers by the vet clinic. Up to three pets can be put on this scheme for no increase in cost. Additional pets can also be added for a small increase in premium.
