Pet Cremation and Euthanasia Services
We can arrange cremation after your pet has been put to sleep, or you may wish to bury your pet at home. Please discuss these options with the staff.
Pet Behaviour Problems
If your pet shows any problem behaviours, we can arrange referral to Dr David Sands, a qualified Animal Behaviourist based in Chorley.
Dr Sands’ clinic specialises in treatment of behavioural problems displayed by dogs, cats, birds, horses and exotic species. The clinic, successfully guides pet owners through treatments or Behaviour Modification Programs. All treatment methods are gentle and ‘aggression free’.
Dr Sands is an internationally known animal-related author and photographer having researched ‘human psychology’ and zoology. He is a Fellow of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association (FCFBA) and a member of the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB) and has appeared onTV.
What is a behaviour problem?
Dogs – Over-excitability, travel sickness, tail chasing
or recurring ‘habits’, aggression towards family members, strangers or other animals, possessive, territorial and fear-related aggression, disobedience, home-alone issues including excessive-barking, destructiveness, chewing, scratching and inappropriate wetting or soiling in the house. ‘Separation-related disorders’ and ‘introvert’ or withdrawn and ‘nervous behaviours’.
Cats – Spraying, soiling in the home, aggressiveness, intermittent litter tray usage, inappropriate hunting, destructive scratching, wandering and periodic absence and insecurity. Aggression towards other cats.
parrots
Birds – Self mutilation, aggressiveness, handling problems,
excessive-vocalisation and cage insecurity.
These and other more unusual behavioural difficulties can often be resolved during a single session with the correct application of drug-free therapies. The success rate after the application of clinical therapy (Behaviour-Modification Program) is extremely high. So, don’t put up with pet problems ask Withy Grove to refer you without delay.
Home Visits can also be a successful option in treating behavioural problems. You and family members can be counselled in the comfort of your own home and pets are seen in their everyday environment.
